Summary of Work

If so, join our team as an Employment Advisor, where you will play a vital role in supporting and guiding job seekers on their career journey.
In this role, you will work in our Resource Area, assessing customers' employment needs and providing services such as resume assistance, cover letter guidance, interview preparation, skill-building, and Labor Market information. You will assist customers in navigating Job Service's website and other job search platforms, while also helping clients explore career options, conducting outreach to targeted populations, and leading educational workshops. Additionally, you will build community relationships by participating in job fairs, delivering presentations, and collaborating with local organizations and workforce services.
A key focus of this role is supporting individuals who face barriers to employment, such as those whose first language is not English or those who are unfamiliar or uncomfortable with technology. Being bilingual is highly beneficial, as it enables you to effectively assist non-English speakers and ensure they can access the resources and services they need. Equally important is your ability to demonstrate patience, understanding, and empathy to create a welcoming and supportive environment for individuals facing significant barriers to gaining employment.

Minimum Qualifications
To be considered for this position, you must have the following experience/education combination:
- A high school diploma or equivalent and
- at least four years of related work
Related work experience typically includes performing administrative, customer, or employment services, receiving and analyzing information, determining available solution(s).
Related college-level course work may be substituted for the work experience requirement on a year-for-year basis.
Preferred Qualifications
Preference will be given to applicants who have outstanding written/verbal communication skills and excellent proven customer service, public speaking/group presentation, problem solving, listening, multi-tasking, and organizational skills. Proficiency in a second language is advantageous for this role.
