Job Summary The Data Analyst at North Mississippi Health Services is responsible for retrieving, analysising, keying, and disseminating performance improvement data, designing analytical and presentation tools in preparing for systemwide nursing reviews and regulatory reviews. This role requires strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills to engage effectively with cross-departmental staff, and develop databases and reporting to support analysis of optimization opportunities for patient care and improvement in patient outcomes. Job Functions Management: Interprets data and analyzes results to meet information and financial needs of the Clinic. Performs clinical abstraction from medical record, collects and input essential clinical data to support patient care. Utilizes analytical tools to prepare reports for clinical and financial review (i.e. spreadsheets, graphs and budget performance). Reporting: Develops databases for clinical and financial outcomes (as needed/requested). Ensures report(s) are accurate and complete based on the requirements. Communication: Effectively communicates with patients, providers, and payers (as necessary). Customer Service: Works with clinical staff to coordinate and secure information to continually improvement patient outcomes. Regulation: Adheres to NMHS/NMMC Policies/Procedures/Guidelines. Complies with applicable Local/State/Federal procedures, guidelines, regulations and laws.
