Position Overview
The Site Administrator will be responsible for overseeing the comprehensive K-5 program.
They report to and are supported by the Director of Teaching, Learning and Assessment.
Primary Responsibilities
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Academic: Ensure staff have the curricular resources necessary; provide initial and ongoing training to staff; monitor instruction for fidelity to program; facilitate assessment implementation and manage data; create and provide program progress reports.
- Climate: Set up student and staff safety protocols for all aspects of the summer program to ensure safety for each student, staff member, and visitors; provide close communications with families and staff of key information and student progress; inform families of student behavior concerns and developing plans to help them make better choices; set up and manage incentive program for students meeting metrics in academic progress, attendance, and behavior expectations; assist staff with resolving challenging student/family/colleague situations.
- Logistics: Supervise and support site staff: Teachers, instructional assistants, and secretary; coordinate with Director of School Improvement, Transportation, Nutrition, and Operations as needed to establish and maintain well-running programs and resolve problems as they arise.

- All Summer School days are approximately Monday through Thursday

- Work day: Approximately 7:30am - 12:30pm.

Qualifications
- Teaching or other educational license; administrator license welcomed but not required.
- At least 3 years of experience in a licensed educational position.
- Demonstrated effective instruction and/or educational management; focus on safety; and, a welcoming, rigorous learning environment for each and every student.
- Commitment to closing the achievement gap for students of color and English Learners.
