Description
The Northbrook Park District is hiring Seasonal Golf Maintenance Workers who are available to work through the end of November 2025. Workers are responsible for performing outdoor labor work for the Park District's Golf Facilities including Heritage Oaks Golf Club and Anetsberger Golf Course.
Pay & Schedule: $18.00 per hour depending on qualifications. If you have a valid Illinois pesticide license, you will be offered an additional .50 cents on top of the offered hourly rate.
Position is 40 hours per week Monday-Friday. Must able to work various day time and weekend shifts, including one weekend morning per week. The season is approximately March – November.
Duties & Responsibilities
• Effectively performs routine golf course maintenance activities such as coarse setup, bunker maintenance, watering, and general grounds maintenance.
• Willingly works with other seasonal staff on maintenance tasks.
• Competently operates equipment and hand tools in the maintenance of the golf course.
• Routinely inspects course grounds for the identification of weeds, diseases, and insects.
• Correctly adheres to Park District policies and procedures.
• Arrives to work on time, fully ready to start work for the duration of the workday.
• Successfully passes all safety training requirements and testing before operating any tools or safety equipment as required.
• Meticulously signs out and returns all tools, materials, and equipment to the proper location; reports necessary maintenance repairs or potential hazards to the Crew Leader and the Golf Maintenance Supervisor.
• Collaborates with internal and external customers in a positive manner.
•Follows safe work practices; wears Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when performing duties.
•Actively participates in required trainings.
• Performs related duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Experience in golf maintenance is desired, but not required. Interest in working outdoors on various landscape maintenance tasks is important. Must be willing to work in a fast-paced environment and have the desire to work independently while performing manual labor. Must have the ability to operate equipment and tools proficiently. Must possess strong customer service skills.

Salary : $18 - $19
