Responsibilities and Duties:
MD practice in Gainesville, GA seeking qualified ophthalmic technician to join our team. COA or 2 years of experience in an ophthalmology office preferred.
4 days a week (but additional hours available if needed)
Salary is negotiable depending on experience. EHR/EMR knowledge helpful.
Job duties include (but not limited to): recording patient history, refractions (manifest and cycloplegic), lensometry, retinoscopy (experience a plus), applanation tonometry, corneal topography, pachymetry, visual acuity, pupillary function and ocular muscle functions. Experience performing ophthalmic procedures and diagnostic testing including VF, OCT, optical biometry, fundus and disc photos, and autorefraction. Triage and return patient phone calls.
Responsible for education and follow up with patients, assist doctor with minor surgical procedures, accurate data recording, order medical supplies, maintaining equipment, answering patient questions and scribing with doctor.
Must be mature, pleasant and team-orientated and wants to grow the practice.
