SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provides psychiatric emergency services that will include: triage, crisis intervention and stabilization, referral and/or short term brief therapy for all individuals of mental health services (adult and children). Staff will be able to correctly triage, assess and
report to agency medical providers and other team members the individuals mental health status and planned course of action. Will maintain an outpatient therapy caseload and may be required to facilitate group therapy. Will develop and complete Intake
Assessments, Pre-Plans and Individual Plans of Service, consistent with person centered planning guidelines. Service provision will include assessing treatment needs of individuals and include providing individual and group therapy in non-traditional
settings.

Rate of Pay: $58,552 - $80,891.2

FLSA: Exempt/Full Time

Reports To: Crisis Response & Stabilization Supervisor

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Masters degree from a recognized or accredited institution, with course work in mental health related areas.
Possess State Registration as an LMSW (or be able to acquire within a reasonable period of time: i.e. LLMSW will be getting full LMSW).
Experience: One or more years of relevant mental health crisis intervention/stabilization experience. Lived experience with mental illness, intellectual/developmental disabilities, and/or substance use disorders valued.
Other: Ability to adequately participate in psychiatric emergency triage with emphasis on problem resolution, crisis stabilization, and utilization of "brief therapy" interventions. Good communication skills essential. Functional computer literacy is required.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
1. Demonstrate an ability to provide emergent mental health services and triage individuals who are presenting for services.
2. Demonstrates understanding of assessment and diagnosis for persons requesting Mental Health Services in accordance to the latest edition of the DSM and ICD.
3. Demonstrate effective case recording in accordance with Person Centered Planning, and NeMCMHA "Case Recording Guidelines".
4. Collaborates with other staff in diagnosing problems and evaluating individuals, as needed.
5. Consults with various agencies, individuals and organizations.
6. Actively participates as a member of the Children's Diagnostic and Treatment Team.
7. Staff will be expected to participate in trainings aimed at the provision of services for individuals with co-occurring disorders.
8. Will maintain an outpatient therapy caseload and may be required to facilitate group therapy.
9. Will participate in the agency's emergency after hours on-call rotation.
10. Demonstrates knowledge of universal precautions, standards of practice including but not limited to confidentiality and recipient rights, and emergency protocol.

NON-ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
1. Performs other related duties as required.
2. May be requested to be involved in the Board's continuous quality improvement program.
3. May be required to provide own transportation while performing agency-related duties.
