What are the responsibilities and job description for the Health Science Administrative Assistant position at Northeast Texas Community College?
Aid the MLT, PTA and MA departments in clerical work, recruiting, EXXAT database, and application processes Act as liaison between the Health Science faculty, staff, administrators and students. Maintain calendar and administrative scheduling the division, and Health Science faculty. Schedule student meetings, and produce records of these meetings. Set up and maintain detailed and accurate administrative files.
Protect confidential materials and records. Assist the Program Directors in the development/monitoring of departmental budgets within the Health Science Sector. Answer telephone and take messages. Return calls and emails on program admissions and inquiries regarding our program offerings.
Assist with recruitment events, mailings, and outreach initiatives. Navigate and advise students of available student services on and off campus Arrange for photocopying and printing. Assist with special mailings regarding faculty projects. Train work-study students.
Post fliers, posters for upcoming events. Advise prospective students about program and course information, both over the phone and in person. Fax letters, POs to companies. Inform students, by phone and posting notices on doors, of class cancellations or changes.
Deliver messages to students. Maintain filing system for full-time and part-time instructors. Prepare mailboxes for full-time and part-time instructors. Prepare office hours schedules for full-time instructors.
Ensure up to date information is available to prospective students and faculty members on the health sciences webpage.
