Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bid Coordinator to join our team. The Bid Coordinator will be responsible for preparing bid paperwork for government projects, ensuring all documentation is accurate and submitted on time. Additionally, the role includes performing various administrative tasks to support the office operations.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and prepare bid proposals for government contracts, including gathering necessary documents, completing forms, and ensuring compliance with requirements.
- Manage the bid calendar and track deadlines to ensure timely submission of all bids.
- Review and interpret Request for Proposals (RFPs), Invitations to Bid (ITBs), and other solicitation documents.
- Collaborate with project managers, estimators, and other team members to compile bid information.
- Maintain and update the bid library and standard company information.
- Ensure all bid documents are properly formatted, branded, and meet quality standards.
- Handle correspondence related to bids and projects.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation for all bids and contracts.
- Perform general administrative tasks such as answering phones, managing schedules, and organizing files.
- Assist with other office duties as needed.
Qualifications and Skills
- Proven experience in bid coordination or a similar role, preferably in the construction industry or with government contracts.
- Strong understanding of the government bidding process and requirements.
- Familiarity with government procurement platforms (e.g., SAM.gov) is a plus.
- Knowledge of construction terminology and processes is preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
