Job Description
The Department of Psychology Counseling at Northeastern State University
invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in psychology serving the undergraduate
Psychology program. The specific specialty area is open but the successful candidate should
have the expertise and the ability to teach a range of courses, including but not limited to
Experimental Psychology, Psychological Statistics, and History & Systems of Psychology. In
addition to teaching, the successful candidate should be willing to develop and maintain an
active research program that involves undergraduate students in the research process and
presentations at professional conferences. Preference will be given to candidates with a
completed PhD in psychology or who are ABD, although applicants with a master’s degree and
commensurate experience may be considered for a non-tenure track instructor position.
NSU offers courses on all three campuses including Tahlequah, Broken Arrow, and Muskogee.
This position will be based on the Tahlequah campus with the candidate being willing and able to
teach both in person and online classes. In addition to teaching, the position will involve student
advisement, university service, and professional/scholarly contributions typically expected of a
tenure-track faculty member.
Annual salary $57,610.00 with benefits.
Projected hire date August 1,2025.
