Job Title: IT/Copier Technician

Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented IT/Copier Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing IT systems, networks, and office copiers for our clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of IT hardware, copier technologies, and excellent problem-solving abilities.
Key Responsibilities:
IT Support:
- Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, networks, and peripheral equipment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to networking, hardware, and software for end-users.
- Provide remote and on-site support for IT infrastructure, ensuring systems are running smoothly. * Monitor system performance and conduct preventive maintenance to avoid downtimes.
- Ensure data security and backup procedures are in place for clients’ systems.Copier Support: * Install, configure, and troubleshoot multifunction copiers, printers, and related office equipment.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on copiers and printers to ensure optimal performance.
- Diagnose and resolve copier issues, including paper jams, network connectivity problems, and poor print quality.
- Provide end-user training on the use of office equipment and troubleshooting basic issues.
Copier Support:
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot multifunction copiers, printers, and related office equipment.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on copiers and printers to ensure optimal performance. * Diagnose and resolve copier issues, including paper jams, network connectivity problems, and poor print quality.
- Provide end-user training on the use of office equipment and troubleshooting basic issues.
Customer Service:
- Interact with clients to understand their IT and copier-related needs and provide timely support.
- Document service requests, repairs, and resolutions in detail.
- Respond to service calls in a professional, efficient, and customer-friendly manner.
Inventory & Equipment Management:
- Maintain an inventory of spare parts and equipment for both IT and copier repairs.
- Track the status of ongoing service requests and ensure timely resolution.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an IT technician or copier technician (minimum of 2 years preferred).
- Strong understanding of IT systems, networks, and hardware.
- Experience with maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting copiers and multifunction printers.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team. * Valid driver’s license.
Preferred Skills:
- Certifications in IT-related fields (CompTIA A , Network , etc.).
- Experience with specific copier brands (e.g., Konica Minolta).
- Knowledge of printer management software and networking.
- Ability to work with remote monitoring systems for copiers and IT infrastructure.
Working Conditions:
- Ability to travel to client locations (within a specified service area).
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Some evening or weekend hours may be required for emergency support.
