Northern Colorado Anesthesia Professionals PLLC (NCAP) is a longstanding and well-regarded anesthesia practice serving the anesthesia needs of Front Range communities. We provide anesthesia services for UC Health’s Northern Colorado inpatient and outpatient surgical sites, including the Medical Center of the Rockies in Loveland (a level I trauma center), PVH in Fort Collins, and Greeley Hospital (level III facilities), along with Good Samaritan Hospital in Lafayette (level II facility) and other regional healthcare providers.
As a member of the Finance and Accounting team, this position is responsible for accurately completing general accounting duties for the company. These responsibilities include processing accounts receivable, general ledger entries, posting, and reconciliation of business accounts. The role also involves assisting with the preparation and analysis of accounts and budgets, reporting variances, and providing backup support for other positions within the department.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as lead for ensuring revenue cycle management (RCM) vendor performance, including calls, metric reviews, and performance monitoring.
- Maintain the integrity of revenue processes via daily scheduled and billed item reconciliation and other reconciliation activities.
- Facilitate patient record entry and transfer to RCM vendor.
- Establish and oversee business relationships with third-party courier services to ensure the receipt and transfer of materials from facilities without EMR.
- Lead provider education for new employee onboarding and provide updates for existing clinicians annually.
- Lead provider documentation compliance and audit processes. Interface with clinicians to address audit finding trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Prepare and monitor facility billing activities.
- Monitor, track and record all receipts.
- Document financial transactions by entering account information, including, but not limited to journal and general ledger entries.
- Summarize current financial status by collecting information, preparing balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other financial reports.
- Prepare asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
- Substantiates financial transactions by auditing documents. Verify allocate, post, and reconcile transactions.
- Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements, including reviewing new legislation and advising leadership on necessary actions.
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Five to seven years of progressive experience in accounting or a related role.
- Proficiency in Xero or other accounting software.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Exceptional analytical, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards.
- Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to contribute to company-wide solutions and initiatives.
- Ability to identify and work toward company and job-specific goals.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Salary: $65-$70k
