The Northern Panhandle Workforce Development Board, Inc., a private nonprofit 501 (c)(3) organization, is looking for an Executive Director. This individual will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the organization’s operations, including program development, financial management and staff supervision. The Executive Director will work closely with a Board of Directors to ensure that the organization is fulfilling its mission and serving its customers effectively. This individual will be responsible for cultivating and maintaining relationships with partnering agencies, key stakeholders and community leaders. The ideal candidate will be a motivational leader with a proven track record of success in nonprofit management. The Executive Director will be able to balance short-term needs with long-term planning. He/she will have excellent communication skills and be able to represent the organization to a variety of audiences. Other key responsibilities include but are not limited to: Develop and implement policies and procedures that support the organization’s mission and goals; Oversee the organization’s program and financial operations; Develop and oversee the organization’s annual budget; Ensure financial reports are accurate and provided to the Board of Directors in a timely manner; Develop and implement a strategic program planning process to identify programs that align with the organization’s mission and goals, Work closely with staff and other stakeholders to ensure programs are effective, efficient and meet the needs of the customers; Oversee operations at regional One Stop Centers; Ensure programs are implemented in accordance with federal, state and local rules/regulations; Evaluate program outcomes on an ongoing basis using data and feedback to make adjustments and improvements as needed; and, Promote the organization’s programs and services to the public. Qualifications for this position are: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., nonprofit management, business administration, social work); Minimum of 8 years of experience in nonprofit management or a related field; Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills; Knowledge of nonprofit financial management/budgeting; and, The ability to work collaboratively with staff, a Board of Directors, partners and other stakeholders.
