Seeking Licensed Therapists to join our team (LCSW/LCPC/LMFT/PsyD/PhD)

NorthStar Counseling Group, LLC is a small established group psychotherapy practice located in Mundelein, IL. Our convenient location allows us to serve clients from all over Lake County. We provide individual, couple's and family therapy to children, adolescents and adults. At NorthStar Counseling Group our mission is to provide the clients we serve with quality therapy services based in intelligent and thoughtful practice. We pride ourselves on our high standards when it comes to treatment modalities and collaboration. Our furnished offices are designed to offer a safe, comfortable and nurturing environment to both our staff and our clients.

Responsibilities:

• Direct patient care: assessments, diagnosis and treatment.
• Create and maintain treatment plans and case notes.
• Use of electronic records program to record all intakes and case notes within 24 hours of services provided to clients.
• Networking and collaborating with other professionals in the community.

Please note: The ability to provide therapeutic services to clients a minimum of 10 hours a week is required. Opportunities for in-person psychotherapy, telehealth or hybrid. Must be licensed in the State of Illinois.

Qualifications:

• Licensed in State of Illinois as an LCSW, LCPC, LMFT, PsyD and Phd
• Experience providing psychotherapy services to individuals, couple's and families.
• Strong boundaries to maintain confidentiality.
• Sensitivity, empathy and self awareness. An open minded, non judgmental attitude and respect for others.
• A belief in the client’s ability to change.
• Ability to develop a positive rapport and collaborative style with clients.
• Positive attitude and ability to get along in a supportive work environment.

Experience:

• Psychotherapy services in agency, hospital, school or outpatient setting (2 years preferred).
• Experience working with individuals, couples and families.
