Position Summary
The Universal Banker role splits time between the teller line, opening new accounts and other duties as assigned. Responsible for providing outstanding customer service when assisting customers to determine what products and services best meet the customer's needs when opening new deposit accounts. Responsible for ensuring customer transactions are handled in a prompt, professional manner, following company policies and procedures. Provide additional operational support for compliance and other reporting activities as needed.

Qualifications
HS Diploma or equivalent required. Minimum 1 year experience in a CSRI position or equivalent demonstrating successful performance required.

Primary Responsibilities
- Offer outstanding customer service to our customers.
- Receives checks and cash for deposit, verifies amount, and examines checks for endorsements.
- Cashes checks and pays out money after verification of signatures and customer balances.
- Using Teller Capture, records and balances currency, coin, and checks in cash drawer, and periodically thru the day trial balances the drawer to ensure accuracy.
- Completes necessary tasks to open and close the bank, with an officer present.
- Scan new and revised signature cards and other documents as needed properly into system.
- Process mail and night drop transactions.
- Put postage on mail and prepare for taking to the Post office and other administrative office support, as needed.
- Prepare courier bag for delivery and empty and deliver contents of bag that is received daily.
- Exercises dual control, as needed, to process bank by mail transactions, night deposit transactions and the vault.
- Count and balance funds in the ATM and balance coin machine.
- Prepare money, as needed, for offsite ATM's.
- Accepts and processes all types of loan payments and advances.
- Handles a variety of miscellaneous products and services, including cashier's checks, money orders, property tax payments, Indian Bucks, Great America Tickets, license stickers, gift cards.
- Escorts customers to Safe Deposit Box area and assists in retrieving their box.
- Send notices for Safety Deposit boxes, take care of closed boxes and drill orders, where needed.
- Balancing of official checks and other bank checking accounts.
- Balancing of Secretary of State, etc. and ordering of supplies.
- Completes BAI and KnowB4 courses with passing grade by scheduled due date.
- Primarily responsible for answering phones to assist customers with their inquiries.
- Roll coin, as needed.
- Process and verify currency order from Federal Reserve.
- Balance Rosie at end of day
- Assist customers with filling out wire forms and necessary tickets.
- Assist customers with IRA distributions.
- Assist customers with IRA Passbook contributions.
- QC scanned documents.
- Assist customers with redeeming Time Certificates.
- Completes paperwork for customer opening a new safety deposit box.
- Completes paperwork for customer closing a lock box.
- Coordinate basement filing for each year, and file in basement
- File and get proof work ready for shredding
- Prepare and Mail Real Estate Taxes daily (during tax season)
- Assist with returned mail
- Filing as needed
- Offer appropriate financial products and services by evaluating the needs of potential customers
- Completes all required documentation and information to open new accounts including checking, savings, money market, Certificates of Deposits, and Safe Deposit Boxes
- Responds to customer inquiries and requests regarding account and additional banking services
- Assist in the completion of compliance reports as requested
- Balance the general ledger as assigned
- Provide support for project as assigned
- Other duties as assigned
- Ensures compliance with all Bank policies and procedures and all applicable state and federal banking laws, rules and regulations including Bank Secrecy Act and Anti Money Laundering to assist management in monitoring for suspicious activity, money laundering, or other illegal customer activity.
