30 position available within the hours of 8am-6pm
Northwest Habilitation Services of Portland is committed to helping clients with persistent mental illness overcome the challenges of daily living through our unique approach and experienced care team.
This is not a caregiving position. As a Direct Support Specialist (DSS) your role will be to provide motivation and guidence to clients.

- Health and Safety
- Social Inclusions and Communication
- Public Transit
We use a Person-Centered approach utilizing a Support Plan (CCSP) tailored to the specific needs of the individual receiving services.
We teach and assist clients in accessing community resources such as food boxes, healthcare appointments and other services as appropriate.
Maintain confidentiality of records relating to clients. Meets standards for documentation and accuracy of work.
Pay is typically 19-21 an hour with opportunities for bonuses and raises.
Job Requirements :
- 18 years or older (required)
- High school diploma or GED (required)
- Driver’s license (preferred)
- Reliable vehicle (preferred)
- Clear background check
