Northwest Pipe Fittings, a locally owned, independent wholesale distributor, is seeking a dedicated Receptionist/Clerk to join our team in Rapid City. We pride ourselves on providing exceptional service, product expertise, and inventory management across a five-state region. Our company distributes a wide range of products, including plumbing, hydronic heating, utility, waterworks, water well, irrigation, filtration, and metering technology products and systems. As a Receptionist/Clerk, you will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth administrative operations and excellent customer service, contributing to the overall success of our organization.

Responsibilities

  • Answer multi-line phone calls and direct them to the correct department while ensuring all customers are assisted promptly.
  • Assist customers at the City Desk and ensure their needs are met efficiently.
  • Handle daily billing procedures and material receiving processes, preparing for accounts payable reconciliation.
  • Support the Administrative Department with various tasks, including scanning, filing, and data entry.
  • Assist in ship acknowledging salesman orders and daily cash entry as needed.
  • Enter and maintain truck mileage and fuel amounts in Excel & Centradesk.
  • Match all accounts payable in CentraDesk and progress them in Workflow.
  • Manage outbound mail and distribute incoming faxes to relevant departments.
  • Inventory and order office supplies to ensure smooth office operations.
  • Provide backup support to team members across the department as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the team and company objectives.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Basic bookkeeping skills and ability to handle sensitive, confidential information.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Mark Information, and Centradesk.
  • Knowledge of the construction industry is preferred.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Friendly and positive attitude with a strong emphasis on teamwork.
  • Ability to follow all safety requirements and maintain a professional appearance.
