Position: Full-Time

Job Description:

Norwichtown Rehabilitation and Care Center is seeking a highly energetic and motivated Therapeutic Recreation Assistant to join our team! The ideal candidate will assist in planning and implementing therapeutic recreational activities that promote the well-being of our residents. The assistant will work closely with the Therapeutic Recreation Director and other team members to create a positive and engaging environment for long-term care residents.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma required
• Experience in long-term care or recreation is beneficial, but not mandatory
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work well in a team environment and interact with residents compassionately
  
  
  

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the planning and delivery of recreational programs and activities
• Support residents during group and individual activities
• Help create a stimulating and enjoyable atmosphere for residents
• Ensure activities are tailored to the interests and needs of residents
• Maintain accurate records of resident participation and progress
