OVERVIEW OF POSITION
The Athletics Coordinator is a full-time, exempt position reporting to the Athletic Director. This position plays a key role in ensuring the smooth operations of the athletic department, supporting athlete development, overseeing sports camps and special programs, and assisting the Athletic Director with administrative duties in his absence.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Athletic Operations & Equipment Management
- Oversee equipment ordering, tracking, and inventory for all sports.
- Manage Nike/BSN uniform and spirit pack orders, ensuring timely distribution and planning.
- Assist in game day management, including setup, logistics, and event supervision.
- Maintain athletic facilities, ensuring proper upkeep, setup, and coordination of needs.
Athlete Development & Promotion
- Co-lead the Student-Athlete Leadership Council, fostering leadership skills and engagement.
- Assist in the promotion of athletes for college recruitment and media recognition.
Camps & Special Programs
- Serve as Head of ND Sports Camp, overseeing planning, staffing, and execution.
- Ensure quality programming and alignment with the school’s athletic philosophy.
Postseason & Awards Management
- Guide coaches on postseason qualification, awards, and processes for each sport.
- Oversee the planning and execution of sports awards ceremonies.
- Conduct postseason evaluations to assess and improve athletic programs.
Finance & Inventory Management
- Assist coaches with money collection (spirit packs, etc.).
- Maintain, order, and deposit funds for Athletic Snack Bars
Administrative Duties
- Attend Athletic Director and administrative meetings when the AD is unavailable.
- Assist with postseason knowledge dissemination and education for coaching staff.
Qualifications
- Experience in athletic administration, coaching, or event management.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Knowledge of high school athletics, postseason structures, and college recruiting.
- Effective communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and some holidays as required.
- Ability to relate to high school students and build positive relationships while maintaining healthy boundaries.
- Ability to work collaboratively with coaches, staff, administrators, faculty, students, parents, and community partners.
- Proficiency in Google Workspace and other systems.
- Commitment to Notre Dame's Holy Cross Catholic mission.
Salary : $70,000 - $78,000
