Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Custodian to join our team. This role requires a proactive approach to custodial duties, including floor care, industrial cleaning, and facilities maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning tasks, including dusting, sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming in designated areas.
- Maintain cleanliness in restrooms, break rooms, and common areas to ensure a sanitary environment.
- Conduct floor care activities such as buffing and waxing to enhance the appearance of surfaces.
- Assist with residential painting and minor repairs as needed to maintain facility aesthetics.
- Handle waste disposal and recycling efforts efficiently while adhering to safety protocols.
- Monitor inventory of cleaning supplies and report needs for replenishment.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure all custodial tasks are completed effectively and on schedule.
- Follow safety procedures while using cleaning equipment and chemicals.
Experience
- Previous experience in custodial or commercial cleaning is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with industrial cleaning techniques and facilities maintenance is a plus.
- Skills in floor care methods, including buffing and polishing, are advantageous.
- A strong work ethic with the ability to work independently or as part of a team is essential.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
