Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated In Home Caregiver to provide essential support and care to individuals in their homes. The ideal candidate will have experience in various healthcare settings, including geriatrics, and possess a strong understanding of patient care protocols.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Support clients with mobility and transfers, ensuring their safety at all times.
- Monitor and document clients' health status and report any changes to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
- Prepare meals and assist with dietary needs, following any specific nutritional guidelines.
- Provide companionship and engage clients in social activities to promote mental well-being.
- Administer medications as prescribed and assist with medical equipment when necessary.
- Maintain a clean and safe living environment for clients by performing light housekeeping duties.
- Collaborate with family members and healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive care plans are followed.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a caregiver
- Prior home care experience is a plus
- Strong understanding of geriatric care principles and practices.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
