Key Responsibilities
- Accounting & Reconciliation
- Prepare and maintain balance sheet account reconciliations to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Create, review, and post journal entries (Monthly/Quarterly/Yearly).
- Run financial reports, update month-end close files, and ensure compliance with GAAP and internal policies.
- Review closed jobs, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and product costs for discrepancies.
- Financial Close & Reporting
- Own the month-end and year-end close processes, meeting strict deadlines.
- Prepare and submit sales and local tax returns to government agencies.
- Assist with forecasts, budgets, and business activity reports that shape company decisions.
- Respond to ledger inquiries from Corporate Headquarters.
- Audit & Compliance
- Participate in internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and company regulations.
- Provide essential data to auditors, facilitating smooth, successful audits.
- Familiarity with IFRS standards preferred.
- A passion for making an impact through precise financial management.
- Analytical, inquisitive, and detail-oriented, with a love for solving problems.
- The ability to work independently while excelling in a team environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and a knack for meeting deadlines.
- Expertise in Microsoft Excel and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (or similar software).
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
- 4 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing.
- Manufacturing industry and cost accounting experience required.
- Knowledge of IFRS standards preferred.
