Job Summary
The On-call Chaplain reports directly to the Director of Spiritual Care. The On-call Chaplain functions as a colleague with CPE students and other department staff. Participates in the on-call rotation as needed. Provides clinical coverage as needed. Serves as a member of the interdisciplinary team providing spiritual care to patients, families and staff. Uses spiritual care knowledge and skills to effectively manage plans of care for patients in developmental stages Neonate (0-28 days), Pediatric (1 month - 12 years), Adolescent (13 - 17), Adult (18 - 72) and Geriatric (72 years). Performs other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities:
- Provides spiritual care to patients, families, and staff. Responds to all pages, referrals and requests for spiritual care.
- Participates in the interdisciplinary team approach to patient care.
- Provides statistical report of ministry offered. Enters appropriate information in the department logbook and patient medical record.
- Conducts inter-faith chapel for the Medical Center, the Rehabilitation Hospital and The Behavioral Health Hospital.
- Participates in departmental meetings, projects and community education.

- Education: High School Diploma required. Bachelor’s Degree or Master of Divinity (or equivalent) preferred.
- Licensure/Certifications: Successful completion of one unit of ACPE CPE required. Completed in-person interview with the Director of Spiritual Care.
- Experience: One year ministry experience preferred.
