As an Engineering Intern at Novanta, you will work cross-functionally with program management, systems, hardware and test engineering and participate in the entire system development life cycle of embedded technologies in Robotics and Automation and Photonics. The internship will focus on a project assignment and last the duration of ten weeks.

Primary Responsibilities
- Work closely with other engineers to interpret design specifications in support of new and existing product development initiatives.
- Develop test plans, conduct testing and document results to ensure product performance requirements are met.
- Hands-on trouble-shooting of electrical components and systems.
- Detect and fix design bugs to ensure the entire system is capable of meeting performance requirements.
- Specific technical project work focused on Novanta innovations.
Requirements
- Undergraduate Junior or Senior working toward Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Optical Engineering.
- communication skills to be able to collaborate and present solutions clearly.
- Analytical and diagnostic skills
- Ability to meet export compliance requirements as Novanta produces export controlled technologies.
