Position Overview
What awaits you:1) Spectrometry Testing and Supporto Preparation and testing of routine samples.o Support on operation of all spectrometers including standardisation and QC testing.o Providing training to operations for use of spectrometer.o Management and ordering of Spectrometry spares and standards.2) Cooling Water Systems Testing and Supporto Routine testing of water system and investigation of issues.o Managing the chemical and services for cooling water tower.o Legionella awareness (training can be provided).3) Metal Cleanliness Testingo Taking inline casting tests such as Podfa, Hycal and LiMCA.4) Mould Servicingo Preparation, servicing, and testing APEX and WH moulds.o Supporting size changes on casting with operations.o Working with production plan to ensure that efficient size changes with equipment readily available.5) Casting Toolingo Scheduling and ordering of required casting tooling and related consumables.o Preparation and repairs of casting tables, moulds and starting heads.o Maintaining casting tooling schedule and inventory list.6) General Responsibilitieso 5S projects and maintaining 5S standards throughout the Process & Quality department.o Be involved in NOS activities.o Daily process audits.o Supporting technical department activities as required.

Location Profile
The Novelis Latchford plant a suburb of Warrington Cheshire in England employs approximately 200 employees. It is one of Europe’s largest aluminium used beverage cans recycling plants and Europe’s largest closed-loop recycling operation for automotive aluminium rolled products with an annual recycling capacity of up to 195000 tonnes. The plant is an essential part of Novelis’ European production and collaborated with Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) to create the first closed-loop system in Europe with a dedicated railway service to efficiently deliver aluminium between Novelis and JLR’s production site in the UK.
The Latchford plant is committed to its community in supporting math and science education to local schools as well as sharing the value of safety and works with a local charitable foundation to sponsoring health. In addition Novelis UK supports the program “Every Can Counts” to actively promote can recycling across Europe.
