Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic, self-starter with proven experience in software development to join our Corporate IT Accounting team. This individual will be responsible for managing the delivery of technological solutions to key stakeholders, driving the successful execution of projects, and working collaboratively across cross-functional teams. The role requires strong business analysis, SQL expertise, and the ability to execute key projects aligned with business needs.
Responsibilities:
- Gather and document business requirements from stakeholders; analyze business processes to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Create detailed business analysis, outlining problems, opportunities, and solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful implementation of projects.
- Conduct data analysis to support business decision-making.
- Design, develop, and maintain SQL databases and database objects (tables, views, indexes, stored procedures, functions, etc.).
- Optimize database performance through indexing, query optimization, and other techniques.
- Collaborate with the application team to design and implement database schemas and structures.
- Ensure data integrity and security through proper design and implementation of database constraints and permissions.
- Develop and maintain ETL processes to integrate data from various sources.
- Develop Power BI dashboards and SSRS reports.
Qualifications/Skills:
- A bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related technical field.
- At least 7 years of proven experience as an SQL Developer and Business Analyst.
- Proficiency in writing and optimizing complex SQL queries and stored procedures.
- Experience with data analysis and reporting tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, SSRS, Power BI).
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial data analysis.
- Experience with Infor / Lawson financials is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and multi-focus skills.
