What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of Systems Engineering position at NOVOS FiBER?
To lead and manage the systems engineering function at NOVOS and PRIME FiBER, including leading and managing the systems engineering team, external teams adjunct to the systems engineering team, and all suppliers and vendors that provide components to the system stacks, or services for those components, for both NOVOS and PRIME FiBER.
\n$150,000 - $160,000 a year
•Enterprise Architecture: Manage and maintain the overall enterprise architecture for all systems stacks, including ensuring that all requirements are met, and all components are fit-for-purpose and delivering to their full potential. Ensure that systems’ users are adequately informed and trained to use the systems as designed and actively seek opportunities to evolve and enhance both the user experience and the overall functionality and integration within the system stacks.
•Systems and Operational Workflows: Responsible for documenting and driving both the systems and operational workflows across both organizations and systems stacks, as well as ensuring that those workflows align, such that the systems workflows support the operational workflows and that the operational workflows take maximal advantage of the available systems workflows.
•Systems and Operational Reporting: This position will be oversee all systems and operational reporting across both organizations and systems stacks, including ensuring that all internal and external operational reporting requirements are met via systems reporting functions.
•Systems Roadmap: Drive the systems roadmap, evolving both system stacks to ensure compliance with internal and external requirements, including both systems and operational workflows and reporting.
•Vendor Management: This position will manage all systems and systems-adjacent vendors, ensuring contractual and operational compliance, including adherence to SLAs and other commitments, understanding their roadmap and driving the needs of NOVOS and PRIME FiBER into their feature development, and providing transparency to the NOVOS and PRIME FiBER leadership into the overall vendor management landscape.
•Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
•Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in systems engineering, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role with a telecom or internet service provider.
•Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of enterprise applications, network monitoring and management tools, and billing and operational support systems.
•Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and inspire a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
•Project Management: Demonstrated experience in managing complex projects and delivering results on time and within budget.
•Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and make data-driven decisions.
Salary : $150,000 - $160,000
