Job Description: Chief Financial Officer
My client in Valencia, California, seeks to hire an experienced CFO. This PERMANENT, full-time job befits a financial leader who possesses the sophistication necessary to advise the CEO and Board of Directors toward accomplishing business strategies. Earn annual salary in the range of $250k - $275k, plus EQUITY options, excellent benefits, 401k, etc. This is a pivotal role within an impressive privately owned engineering/manufacturing company. A local candidate is ideal, but RELOCATION is an option. Work is onsite (not remote).
Responsibilities include:
- Oversee financial management, financial operations, treasury, reserve investments and retirement plan funding.
- Develop financial plans to meet the organizations mission and business strategy.
- Provide financial support and recommendations in aid of a variety of strategic activities, and to stakeholders in their roles as fiduciaries.
- Develop an enterprise risk framework and assessment process. Capitalize on opportunities.
- Lead the accounting team, including financial reporting, and internal controls.
- Oversee internal audit, and coordinate with external audit. Liaison with Audit and Finance Committees. PCAOB Audit.
- Coordinate external financial professionals and legal advisors.
- Perform technical analysis such as forecasting, budgeting, cash flow.
- Drive profitability. Analyze data, identify trends, pro-actively provide insights.
Qualifications:
- 15 years of relevant experience demonstrating financial acumen.
- Relevant education credentials (MBA and/or CPA are desirable).
- Strategic thinker with a successful track record as a trusted advisor to CEOs, Executive Teams and Boards. Influential amongst a large cross-section of stakeholders.
- Experience in financial aspects of mergers, acquisitions and partnerships. Also, investment banking and private equity.
- Strong negotiation skills, and proven ability in enterprise vendor management.
- Leadership of diverse, cross-collaborative teams comprised of employees, contractors and consultants.
- Technology savvy, including ERPs and data analytics which drive decision making.
- Embrace and drive change. Influence and present robust business cases for change and align financial strategies with business goals.
