Job Summary:
The HR Assistant provides administrative support to the Human Resources department, ensuring smooth daily operations. This role involves handling employee records, assisting with recruitment, managing HR documentation, and supporting payroll and benefits administration. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and capable of handling confidential information with discretion.
Specific responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Answering phones
- Supporting staff in assigned project-based work
- Preparing and/or formatting documents and spread sheets using Microsoft Word and Excel
- Assist with benefits administration, including enrollments, changes, and employee communication.
- Maintain and update employee records in HR databases, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Scheduling appointments and coordinating events
- Ordering and organizing office supplies
- General office administrative support
- Assistance to Human Resources and Accounting departments
- Support payroll processing by gathering and verifying employee time records and assisting with payroll-related inquiries.
- Other tasks as needed
Qualifications, including but not limited to:
- Excellent MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Prior Human Resources experience
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently, interact and communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization
- Ability to multi-task and to work effectively within a team
- Service-oriented and strong people skills and personable phone style
- Quick learner with the ability to learn new programs and processes
- Willingness to be flexible
- Patience and good judgment with people
- Problem solving skills and work ethics are essential
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.50 - $20.00 per hour
