As part of our ongoing commitment to excellence, we are seeking an experienced and dynamic Human Resources Manager to join our team and lead HR efforts within our assisted living community. This position will help to provide HR support at multiple locations in Dane County and surrounding areas.
Position Overview:
The Human Resource manager will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our team is well-supported and equipped to provide exceptional care. This leadership position is responsible for all aspects of Human Resources management within the community, including recruitment, employee relations, training and development, compliance, benefits administration, and performance management. The ideal candidate will be passionate about creating a positive work environment and ensuring that our staff has the resources they need to succeed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Recruitment of Employees: Oversee the full-cycle recruitment process to attract, hire, and retain qualified and compassionate staff for various roles within the community. Ensure staffing levels are adequate to meet the needs of our residents.
- Employee Relations: Foster a positive and supportive work culture by addressing employee concerns, resolving conflicts, and ensuring effective communication between staff and leadership.
- Compliance & Legal Requirements: Ensure adherence to all federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations. Maintain accurate records for compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, wage and hour laws, and other regulatory standards.
- Training & Development: Develop and implement training programs to enhance staff skills and ensure that employees are well-prepared to provide high-quality care. Promote career development and growth within the organization.
- Performance Management: Oversee performance appraisal processes, provide coaching and support to managers in handling employee performance issues, and ensure a fair and consistent approach to evaluations.
- Compensation & Benefits Administration: Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other employee incentives. Ensure employees are informed of available benefits and any changes to plans.
- Workplace Safety & Wellness: Promote and maintain a safe working environment for all employees. Develop and enforce workplace safety programs and policies to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Employee Engagement & Retention: Lead initiatives that promote employee engagement, job satisfaction, and retention. Conduct regular surveys and feedback sessions to understand employee needs and improve retention.
Qualifications:
- HR experience, preferably in a healthcare, senior living, or long-term care environment.
- knowledge of HR practices, labor laws, and regulations.
- Proven experience in recruitment, performance management, and employee relations.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
- A compassionate, empathetic approach to working with staff and residents.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
