What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cash Applications Clerk position at NuCO2 Management LLC?
We have an immediate need for a Cash Applications Clerk who is responsible for applying payments from customers accurately and in a timely manner.
NuC02 is the largest national provider of beverage grade liquid CO2 to the food service and hospitality industry.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Post/apply payments (wires, checks, ACH, credit card) to customer invoices/accounts and balance cash posted to cash receipts.
- Post deductions with proper codes in system.
- Work with customers to obtain remit information.
- Assist in customer account reconciliation.
- Distribute unapplied cash documentation to billing or collections.
- Collaborate with Collections and Billing teams to resolve customer payments discrepancies.
- Update account Activity Log as needed.
- Support Ad Hoc request as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ability to comprehend and follow instructions and correspondence in written or oral forms.
- Ability to effectively communicate in written or oral forms.
- Must work well under pressure, in team environment and independently.
- Ability to prioritize, multi-task, problem solve and respond positively to unexpected interruptions.
- Willingness and ability to research issues as needed.
- Must be able to type 45 to 50 words a minute with minimal errors.
- Experience using 10 – Key adding machine.
- Skilled in Microsoft Office including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- JD Edwards experience preferred.
EDUCATION AND TRAINING:
Associates degree or higher preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
- One (1) year experience in a Cash Application, Collections or Accounts Receivable environment preferred.
- JD Edwards experience preferred.
- Ability to work in fast paced environment.
- Attention to detail.
- Proactive problem solver
- Proven ability to prioritize tasks and meet team deadlines.
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, Access
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
