Summary

This role manages incoming shipments and ensures the quality of materials received meets company standards by pulling samples for testing. In this role, you will be responsible for inspecting, documenting, and verifying that all inbound goods comply with quality and regulatory requirements. You will work closely with the procurement, production, and warehouse teams to ensure materials are received accurately, stored properly, and ready for use in production. Perform QC checks on WIP. Responsibilities include but are not limited to providing excellent customer service by collaborating with vendors and internal teams to ensure customer satisfaction.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Communicate with an upbeat positive attitude and smile.

  • Communicate effectively and efficiently via phone, video, email and in person.
  • Inspect and verify the quantity and condition of incoming shipments.
  • Unload, unpack, label and record incoming materials, ensuring proper documentation.
  • Match received goods with purchase orders, invoices, and shipping manifests to ensure accuracy.
  • Document discrepancies such as damaged goods or incorrect shipments and communicate with vendors to resolve issues.
  • Properly store received materials in designated areas, ensuring compliance with storage requirements (e.g., temperature, humidity).
  • Update inventory records and report material shortages or overages to relevant departments.
  • Conduct quality inspections on incoming materials to ensure they meet established standards and specifications.
  • Use measurement tools and testing equipment to verify product quality.
  • Identify defective, damaged, or non-compliant materials and coordinate with suppliers for returns or replacements.
  • Maintain detailed records of inspection results, including batch numbers, inspection dates, and any issues encountered.
  • Ensure that all quality control procedures are followed and that non-conforming materials are properly quarantined.
  • Collaborate with the production and procurement teams to ensure quality standards are maintained throughout the supply chain.
  • Adhere to FDA, NSF, UL, ISO 9001 and cGMP guidelines, as well as Nufacturing Standard Operating Procedures through consistent training and compliance.
  • Discuss issues with management to maintain a balance between company policy and customer benefit in decision making and resolving issues.

Work Experience Preferred

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and build rapport.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 Applications (Excel, Outlook, Teams and Word) and other technologies.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Familiarity with FDA, UL, ISO 9001 and/or cGMP regulations helpful.
  • Experience in Food Manufacturing, Dietary Supplement Manufacturing and/or related industry helpful.

Education Requirements

Minimum Requirement is a High School Diploma or equivalent.

Associate or Bachelor Degree a plus.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

Regularly required to use hands, talk and hear.

Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, and crouch.

The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $15.00 - $25.00 per hour
