School Nurse

We are searching for a School Nurse to join our healthcare team at a Special Education school located in the Bronx. This is a two month assignment with a possible extension, serving programs for children ages 3-21. Schedule:

Mon-Thurs 10:30 AM - 5 PM (6.5 hours, 30 min unpaid lunch)

Friday 11 AM - 3 PM (5 hours) - total 28 hours per week

Pay: $55-$57/hour

Start Date: 03/21/2025

School Nurse responsibilities will include:

• Ensure that nursing needs of the students are met.
• Ensure that assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation are performed in the nursing process.
• Ensure that professionalism is modeled in all interactions with all personnel, students and parents.
• Preparing and maintain records, writing protocols, and responding to correspondence.
• Developing and maintaining therapeutic relationships with students, staff, and parents/guardians.

Qualifications

• RN License - NYS
• Associate Degree or higher in Nursing
• Prior experience as a School Nurse or with pediatrics preferred
