We are currently seeking an Accountant to join our organization! In this role you will reconcile high-volume accounts and collaborate with internal employees to resolve outages. You will be responsible for maintaining general ledger accounts through posting of journal entries and producing routine account reconciliations along with supporting documentation. You will produce the Credit Union’s accounting records and reports, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting while guaranteeing compliance. You will be responsible for performing clerical bookkeeping and accounting tasks, reporting to leadership and ensuring expenses are controlled by processing, verifying, and reconciling according to established policies and procedures.
What You’ll Do:

Supports all branch and department Accounting related inquires and requests through phone, email, MSP contacts, etc.

Verify accuracy of information provided in collaboration with related departments and vendors.

Serve as a liaison between vendors and the Credit Union regarding functionality, problem resolution, upgrades/updates, etc.
- Support all levels of leadership by creating specialized reports, completing detailed research, analysis of abnormalities related to profit/loss general ledger accounts.
- Aiding leadership by problem solving errors, answering questions, and researching data as needed.
- Assist with routine audits by gathering and categorizing requested documents.
What You’ll Need:

Three to five years of similar or related experience

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting or related field
Key Skills and Experience:

Proficient in all accounting software, programs, and processes including Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains, XP2, and Transaction Warehouse.

Intermediate knowledge of Fedline Advantage, Safekeeping, and Nautilus Web.

Must be able to handle multiple responsibilities, meet deadlines, deal with sensitive information and handle problem resolution.

Effectively communicate professionally with internal and external customers appropriately via in person, email etc.

Experience in multi-tasking, meeting strict deadlines, dealing with sensitive information, and problem resolution while providing exceptional service.

Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office and all internal systems as affiliated with the department.

Ability to adapt quickly to change and proactively communicate.
