What you will do:
- Ensure all work is done in a safe manner consistent with company, local, state, federal and health, safety and environmental regulations and procedures
- Participate in the PSM culture through MOCs, PHAs, and RCIs
- Work with Operations and Maintenance to discover and address safety hazards, environmental problems, production inefficiencies, and reliability issues
- Develop and review Standard Operating Procedures and Safe Operating Limits
- Utilize Pipeflo, Aspen Hysys or similar simulation tools to predict equipment performance
- With oversight of a senior engineer, support capital projects with technical responsibility for the process design, specification, and selection of equipment
- Stay abreast of current and new technologies to implement where applicable to improve plant reliability and production
- Prepare month end production reports and utility consumption reports for financial accounting
- Support catalyst changeouts, catalyst reductions, and vessel inspections
- Provide on call support for emergency trouble shooting and operations support
- Chemical Engineering Bachelor's is required
- Experience – Less than 2 years of experience
- Must be available to work in USA and be willing to relocate to Baton Rouge, La area
- Basic understanding of plant equipment associated engineering fundamentals
- Co-op experience in chemical plant, refinery, or other processing or manufacturing industry preferred
