Business Development Manager
Incorporated in 1984, Nutrition 101 LLC is a fast-growing leader in organic waste upcycling. We believe in the proactive management of residuals from food manufacturing, and the opportunities that exist for recovery and repurposing. From feeding livestock high quality feeds to recovering plastics from packaging, we understand the goals of waste reduction and reuse.
We are seeking a candidate in the Southwestern United States. This role will require both daily (~25%) and overnight travel (~25%). At the onset, and depending on the individuals place of residency, this will be a homebased position with travel.
Description
The Business Development Manager (BDM) will be responsible for orchestrating the sales process from lead generation through close in the Southwestern United States. He/she will build and forge strong relationships with food manufactures and livestock production sites throughout their respective geographic responsibility and represent 101 in all client and prospect interactions.
Responsibilities
· Drive margin generating revenue and overall market share inside the assigned territory.
· Prospect for new food processor and livestock production customers inside the assigned territory.
· Develop relationships with a defined customer base to extend new business opportunities within accounts.
· Serve as the single point of contact for all customer needs within the assigned territory.
· Collaborate with the leadership team to provide continuous improvement strategies to build a more sustainable and competitive company.
To succeed in this role, you’ll need a customer-first attitude and the following
· Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business, Animal Nutrition or Agriculture Science is preferred.
· Sales and/or account management experience in organics upcycling, waste management and/or agriculture.
· Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements.
· Willingness to travel and work from a variety of locations.
· Spend time in the specified region developing relationships and with potential and existing customers.
· Proven ability to achieve goals.
· Strong interpersonal communication skills.
