What are the responsibilities and job description for the Office Assistant/Receptionist position at Oahu Psychological Services?
We're a busy Aiea psychology practice seeking a friendly, reliable receptionist (18-30 hours per week) to join our team. Must be professional, punctual and a team player. Majority of time is spent on phones/emails.
Duties Include:
- Answering phones and following up with clients
- Checking patients in and out
- Scheduling appointments
- Verifying insurance
- Posting charges and collecting payments
- Providing administrative support for our group of psychologists and therapists
- Processing authorizations, referrals, and records requests
- Distributing mail
- Maintaining confidentiality at all times
- Keeping offices neat and clean
- Other duties as determined by business needs.
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree or minimum AA degree with office/administrative experience
- Minimum 2 yrs experience in office/administrative position
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Able to work general office equipment and use Microsoft Office.
- Excellent computer skills - MS Word, Excel, electronic practice management program
- Detail-oriented, flexible, results-driven problem solver who readily identifies priorities and completes tasks/responsibilities with efficiency and accuracy.
Helpful:
- Medical office experience
- Familiarity with behavioral health billing and terminology.
Compensation commensurate with experience. We are willing to train the right person!
