What are the responsibilities and job description for the Hand Solder position at OAI ELECTRONICS?
OAI Electronics is seeking an experienced full-time Hand Solder to join our Production team.
The principal responsibilities for this role are:
- Hand soldering, solder touch-up and rework of a wide variety of thru-hole and SMT electronic assemblies. Preforming the soldering tasks per IPC-610 Class II & III Standards.
- Perform all responsibilities in areas of PCB assembly, preparing for solder, rework and inspection of boards.
- Knowledge of IPC-610 and J-STD-001 Workmanship Standards. Certification to IPC-610 & J-STD-001 is preferred.
- In-process inspection and solder touch-up of assemblies after reflow, solder touch-up of solder defects as identified by inspection.
- Visually inspect parts for quality prior and after assembly.
- Read and interpret assembly drawings and notes.
- Read and apply documented quality system procedures.
Requirements:
- Extensive experience in hand soldering of through-hole and SMT components.
- Extensive experience with IPC-610 and J-STD in & out.
- Ability to use small hand tools, microscope and basic measurement skills.
- Ability to follow instructions for engineering modifications.
- Work independently with little to no supervision.
- Good communication skills, able to speak, read, write and understand English.
- Strong attention to details and highly organized.
- Ability to maintain effective working relationship with others.
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.
- Able to lift / carry up to 25lbs a short distance (work-station to cart).
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be United States citizen.
