Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Food Runner to join our team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The Food Runner plays a crucial role in ensuring that our guests receive their meals promptly and efficiently, contributing to an exceptional dining experience. This position requires a passion for food service, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with kitchen staff and servers.
Duties
- Deliver food and beverages from the kitchen to the dining area in a timely manner.
- Assist in food preparation as needed, ensuring all dishes are presented beautifully and according to restaurant standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and dining areas.
- Collaborate with servers to ensure accurate order delivery and guest satisfaction.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff regarding any special requests or dietary restrictions.
- Support banquet services by assisting with setup, serving, and cleanup as required.
- Adhere to food safety guidelines and maintain high standards of hygiene throughout all food handling processes.
- Utilize POS systems, such as Aloha POS, for order tracking and communication with the kitchen.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a restaurant or hotel setting is preferred but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with food safety practices and regulations is essential.
- Ability to work efficiently in a busy environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude are necessary for success in this role.
- Experience with food preparation or cooking is a plus but not required.
- Must be able to stand for long periods and lift items up to 30 pounds as needed.
