Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Expediter to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The Expediter plays a crucial role in taking phone to-go orders, ensuring that food orders are prepared accurately and delivered promptly to customers. This position requires strong communication skills, a passion for food service, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage the flow of food orders from the kitchen to the dining area, ensuring timely delivery.
• Communicate effectively with front desk employees, kitchen staff and servers to ensure all orders are prepared correctly and meet quality standards.
• Assist in food preparation and handling as needed, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety in the kitchen.
• Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, alerting management when stock is low.
• Maintain an organized workspace to facilitate smooth operations during busy service periods.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing any concerns or special requests from guests.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred.
• Strong understanding of food preparation, handling, and safety protocols.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented atmosphere.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively relay information between kitchen staff and servers.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• A background in culinary arts or experience as a cook is a plus but not mandatory.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends.
