- Responsible for assisting the daily functions of the front of house operations of the Garrison Oak Steakhouse and Lobby Bar.
- Assist the manager with ensuring that the service culture is ingrained in every guest interaction through delivering proper training and coaching to the front of house staff.
- Possesses knowledge in every Front of House position and can work each position fluently when necessary.
- Ensures the room is staffed properly, otherwise will jump in to support our team members where necessary.
- Responsible for performing “responsible alcohol service” with regards to patron limitations and pass any/all responsible alcohol service training
- Assist room manager with daily shift report and closing duties to include service staff tip reports and service recoveries, side work duties, closing cleanliness, and side work opening and closing check sheets.
- Responsible for training new team members in their role and providing ongoing training/coaching support to tenured team members, within the steakhouse to ensure consistency of service.
- Provide the highest level of service at all times and the best-in-class dining experience to our guests.
- Assist the manager with monitoring guest satisfaction through table visits, interactions with guests and promoting positive staff engagement throughout the dining room.
- Assists in addressing any food/beverage or service-related guest issues and utilizes creativity and resources available to maintain optimum satisfaction.
- Must be knowledgeable of all health department standards to ensure proper cleanliness in the steakhouse.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Works on the floor 100% of the time with a “hands-on” mentality for guest service.
- Ability to maintain high levels of confidentiality and integrity.
- Maintain interpersonal working relationships among all Team Members and the public.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Willingness to assume overall responsibility relative to the performance of the position.
- Must be self-motivated, detail oriented, have a professional attitude, strong organizational and time management skills, and be customer-focused

- Knowledge of menu development, costing, labor management, food trends, and service as well as overall restaurant operations preferred
- Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Micros systems.
- Available to work when needed, including weekends, holidays, and nights.
- One to two years of high-volume table-service dining required
- One to two years of bartending experience required.
- Advanced knowledge of wine and liquor required.
- Fine dining (AAA 4 Diamond / Forbes 4 Star) service preferred
- Extensive training background in a fast-paced front of house team setting.
- Able to obtain and maintain a valid Kentucky gaming/racing license.
