Job Summary (Essential Functions): To consistently achieve first-class beverage experiences with proper mixology techniques and beverage knowledge while providing a high degree of member care and satisfaction.

- Must be able to work a flexible shift that includes early mornings, nights, weekends, holidays, split shifts, and extended shifts if needed. Expected to work 40-60 hours per week throughout the year and additional hours during event weeks.

Duties & Responsibilities:
- Exceptional knowledge of Oak Hill's food and beverage standards and operating procedures.
- Understanding of all alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Able to prepare and service mixed and craft cocktails consistently.
- General wine knowledge and can follow proper steps of wine service.
- Anticipate member needs, ascertain satisfaction and respond urgently and appropriately to concerns and special requests.
- Basic knowledge of Club's Point of Sales system (Jonas).
- References Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) at the start of the shift to gain information on the type of event, bar package, and additional details regarding the event.
- Completes proper paperwork/forms required for events and turns into the Catering Department at the end of the shift. (i.e. consumption bar tally sheet).
- Inspects bar prior to each shift for setup, cleanliness, organization, and maintenance.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of bar areas, glassware and equipment.
- Follow standard operating procedures to ensure bars are set up, operated efficiently, and broken down properly.
- Prepares garnishes, fruit mixes, and pre-mixed drinks prior to opening the bar.
- Ensures the product on the bar matches the bar package outlined on the Banquet Event Order (BEO). Maintains par levels of liquors, wines, beer and other beverages with an effective inventory management system.
- Follow state and local laws and club policies and procedures for the service of alcoholic beverages.
- Keep current with changing member preferences and industry trends relative to the beverage operation and communicate them to your managers.
- Attend daily pre-shift meetings, team meetings, and training.
- Carries out bylaws and policies set by the Board of Directors.
- Any, and all other duties, as assigned by the DRP Restaurant Manager, DRP Assistant Restaurant Manager, and/or DRP Restaurant Supervisor.
Experience
- One year of bartending experience required.
- Private club experience preferred.
Education
High school or equivalent education required.Licenses and Special Requirements
- Valid driver's license.
- Food safety certification.
- Alcoholic beverage certification.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions.
- Occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; high, precarious places; extreme cold; extreme heat. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
- Able to meet and perform the physical requirements of the job and to work effectively in an environment that is typical of this position.
- Frequent lifting, bending, climbing, stooping, and pulling.
- Must be able to lift 75 pounds.
- Must be 18 years of age.
- Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions. Must have a reliable form of transportation to and from work.
General Information
Scheduled Shifts: Full-time, year-round position. Days and hours are based on club operations and weather conditions. Regularly works 45 hours per week.
