We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Behavior Technicians to join our team at Oakwood Counseling Center, Inc. As a Behavior Technician, you will work closely with individuals with a variety of needs implementing behavior intervention plans and providing support to improve their quality of life in a school setting. Responsibilities:
- Implement behavior intervention plans
- Collect and analyze data to track progress
- Provide direct support and assistance to individuals in the home and/or school settings
- Teach and reinforce appropriate social, communication, and daily living skills
- Communicate effectively with families, supervisor, and school staff and provide guidance on implementing behavior strategies
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of interventions and progress
Requirements:
- High school diploma plus 3 years of documented experience working directly with individuals with developmental disabilities and/or behavior problems
- Bachelor's degree is preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Patience, compassion, and empathy towards all individuals
- Flexibility to adapt to the changing needs of clients and their families
- Highly motivated, responsible, and dependable. We love people that show up on time ready to work with a positive attitude.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Health insurance paid at 50% for those working 30 more hours per week
Clients are available in Warren and Youngstown areas
Must have a clean record (background checks required)
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
