Position Summary: The Locum Tenens Recruiter will be responsible for recruiting quality clinicians for our organization’s national client-base of healthcare facilities. As a Recruiter, your job will be to find, contact, and recruit clinicians for Locum Tenens (temporary) assignments all over the nation. The Recruiter will work proactively to grow our Locum Tenens service line by initiating relationships with clinicians and introducing them to a locum tenens career with our organization. The Locum Tenens Recruiter will manage the relationship with clinician from beginning to end.
Position Responsibilities: Essential
- Identifies and recruits qualified OBGYN Hospitalist clinicians by screening, assessing and interviewing for potential contracted requisitions.
- Educate prospective clinicians on the personal and professional benefits of a locum tenens career
- Proactively contact and recruit prospective clinicians to establish relationships, understand their needs and qualify them for locum tenens opportunities
- Implements and manages clinician candidate tracking systems to maintain accurate and comprehensive files for: clinician records; current operational policies and procedures; internal and external reports and correspondence.
- Documents all clinician activity in applicant tracking system (ATS) including activities, requirements that support accurate reporting.
- Generate leads through various recruiting channels, strategic planning, and referrals
- Maintains data on recruitment activities, applicant flow, interviews, and recruitment results.
- Assists leadership in developing a strategic and comprehensive locum tenens clinician recruitment plan.
- Serves as communication liaison with clinician candidates and operational leadership.
- Identifies and evaluates trends in healthcare recruitment, including location conditions, economic conditions, and competitive institutions to develop innovative strategic plans to respond to these trends.
- Establish ongoing rapport with clinicians to build long-term working relationships.
- Discuss and negotiate contract and employment terms with potential candidates in collaboration with OBStat shared services departments.
- Other projects as assigned by leadership.
Essential Skills/Credentials/Experience/Education
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and experience.
- 2-4 years prior recruiting experience in physician recruitment required.
- Aggressive self-starter with a great attitude and strong organizational skills.
- Basic knowledge of human resource principles, policies and procedures as they relate to talent management and recruiting.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact with clinicians and all levels of leadership.
- Tenacious spirit, focus, and grit
- Strong motivation to achieve results and meet recruiting goals.
- Strong computer technology skills, including but not limited to Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and an ability to conduct Internet research efficiently and productively.

Mental and Physical Demands (per ADA guidelines)
- Physical Demands: Sitting for long periods of time. Occupation requires this activity more than 66% of the time (5.5 hrs/day).
- Travel Demands: This position may require up to 25% of time for travel to assigned market.
Annual Base Compensation: $60,000 - $65,000 Incentive Plan
