Duties
- Assist veterinarians in performing examinations, surgeries, and medical procedures.
- Provide critical care to animals in need, including monitoring vital signs and administering medications.
- Perform diagnostic tests such as X-rays and laboratory work to aid in the diagnosis of animal health issues.
- Handle animal catheterization and maintain proper hygiene standards during procedures.
- Educate pet owners on proper pet care, nutrition, and training techniques.
- Maintain accurate medical records for each patient and ensure all documentation is up-to-date.
- Provide grooming services as needed to ensure the cleanliness and comfort of animals.
- Demonstrate knowledge of animal anatomy and physiology to assist in treatment plans effectively.
- Collaborate with team members to create a positive environment for both pets and their owners.
Requirements
- Certification or degree in Veterinary Technology is preferred.
- Experience in veterinary critical care is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of animal anatomy, physiology, and common medical conditions.
- Proficiency in handling various animals with care and compassion.
- Ability to perform tasks such as X-ray imaging and animal catheterization.
- Strong communication skills to effectively educate pet owners on care practices.
- Previous experience in dog training or pet grooming is a plus.
- Must be detail-oriented, organized, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
