What are the responsibilities and job description for the OBW Food and Beverage Supervisor position at Ocean Breeze Waterpark?
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Must be able to fulfill all functions and duties of all Food and Beverage Department positions
- Supervise food and beverage team members to ensure efficient daily operation
- Conduct pre and post shift meetings
- Review daily time sheets
- Conduct department orientation trainings
- Conduct in-service training sessions and weekly safety topic trainings
- Provide coaching to team members
- Issue disciplinary action according to park policies and procedures as needed
- Ability to properly and safely operate all equipment used throughout the outlets
- Supervise guest experience to ensure excellent customer service is provided by team members
- Responsible for the continued compliance with local Health Department sanitation guidelines
- Follow opening & closing procedures in all outlets to maintain cleanliness standards
- Knowledge of all menu items, alcoholic beverages and specials
- Oversee the service of alcoholic beverages to ensure legal requirements are maintained
- Responsible for maintaining food and beverage presentation standards at food outlets
- Oversee the kitchen to ensure food is prepared in a timely manner
- Must have knowledge of the park POS system
- Must positively reinforce and motivate team members
- Ensure all park policies and procedures are being followed by all team members
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment for customers and team members
- Provide superior customer service to all guests in a polite and expedient manner
- Assist customers with questions regarding Ocean Breeze Waterpark
- Follow park policies and procedures
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years of age or older
- Experience in department or equivalent supervisory experience required
- Ability to accept guidance, constructive criticism and supervision
- Demonstrate ability to work independently
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers, team members, and leadership
- Be aware, attentive, and work well with others
- Ability to work in indoor kitchen conditions and outdoor conditions and take precautions, including hydration, sun-protection and other precautions as necessary
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to stand or walk for long periods of time
- Must be able to lift, carry, move, lower and/or position items weighing up to or in excess of 60 pounds, team lift for heavier objects
