Inside Sales & Support Representative
Job Summary
Responsible for all aspects of inside sales, customer service, and customer relations for a specified list of accounts.
Essential Functions
1. Manage designated accounts within OGT Policies & Procedures: receive telephone and email requests for stock checks, lead times, order status, shipping information, price quotations, order changes/adjustments, and answer questions related to our products or production process.
2. Meet quarterly sales quotas for assigned accounts.
3. Partner with Regional Account Manager to develop and execute detailed, quarterly customer service strategies for all relevant customers by identifying issues and sales trends of that showroom and gaining insight into customer needs (e.g. training needs, resolve issues, and assist customer’s sales force with their sales efforts).
4. Customer database management: approve, track and document price quotes on large/registered projects as well as execute follow up on both with the customer; keep customer profiles current including details on showroom staff and their roles; and provide details on customer POs with any extenuating circumstances.
5. Execute call campaign to all “strategic” level accounts, gathering information to include but not be limited to promoting new products/services, probe customers for new selling opportunities, gain insight on sales trends/selling patterns and uncover current projects customers are specing and promote sales promos.
6. Respond to, and follow up on all sales leads. Track conversion rate, and provide monthly updates to the Regional Account Manager to evaluate account performance.
7. Cross-function and work with various departments including sales, marketing, finance, and warehouse to stay abreast of updated measures or issues that may reflect upon current or future sales initiatives, customer engagement/communication, order entry/processing, company vision direction.
8. Other duties as assigned by the Manager.
Working Functions
· Physical: Sedentary physical activity performing non-strenuous daily activities of an administrative nature.
· Environment: Well-lighted, climate controlled office setting.
· Equipment: Office equipment: computer, copy machine, phones
· Five days per week in U.S. Corporate Office (Vista, CA)
Minimum Qualifications
- A.A. or equivalent from two-year college or technical school and a minimum of two years related experience.
- Possess a Passport or Visa in order to visit facility in Tijuana, Mexico.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variable in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Posses proficient personal computer skills including electronic mail, record keeping, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc.
- Ability and willingness to embody the OGT values in daily interactions with your OGT team as well as your customers/showrooms.
- Ability to master processes in the department to be able to assist in departmental training as well as to assist in documenting all work processes for the ISS Dept.
- Ability to prioritize, organize and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Good manual dexterity sufficient to read/handle items, work with the fingers, and perceive attributes of objects and materials.
- Ability to see clearly up-close. Ability to distinguish colors.
- Ability to work overtime and holidays as required.
- Physically able to work under the conditions and within the environment stated above.
- Experienced with high touch customer service, timely and responsive, warm and engaging, strong communication skills.
