Job Title: Service Manager – Barto Trucking, LLC, a Liquid Trucking Company
Location: South Sioux City, NE
Yearly Salary: Starting at $90,000.00

Liquid Trucking Companies is one of the nation's premier bulk liquid transportation carriers. With a fleet of 225 semi-tractors and over 400 tanker trailers, we pride ourselves on delivering quality and safety. We're currently seeking a skilled and motivated Service Manager to join our team at the Barto Trucking Terminal in South Sioux City, NE.
Position Overview:
The Service Manager will oversee the maintenance and management of all parts, inventory, and shop staff. This role reports directly to the operations manager and will collaborate closely with other company leaders. You will be responsible for scheduling preventative maintenance oversight, which includes about 100 regularly dispatched pieces of equipment from the Barto Terminal.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all shop operations, including parts and inventory control.
- Lead, coach, and develop shop staff, ensuring high levels of communication and professionalism.
- Oversee scheduling, preventative maintenance, and repairs for fleet equipment.
- Nights and weekend on-call rotation (paid)
- Ensure adherence to safety and compliance standards.
- Collaborate with other departments to align maintenance operations with broader company goals.
- Continuously seek improvements in the maintenance process to enhance efficiency.
- Establish and maintain vendor relationships for parts, supplies, and services.
- Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) such as downtime, repair costs, and service schedules.
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM.
- Every other Saturday, 7:00 AM - 12:00 PM.
Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of fleet maintenance operations; experience with tankers is preferred but not required.
- Proven ability to coach and lead a team professionally.
- Experience in scheduling and preventative maintenance programs.
- Ability to manage inventory and parts effectively.
- Proficient in fleet management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
- Class 8 vehicle diagnostic & trouble shooting experience required.
