Role and Responsibilities
The Catering Sales Manager is responsible for developing existing business and solicit new catering business through catering lead generation and catering sales marketing. The Catering Sales Manager will also book, sell, plan and coordinate special events while assuring the highest level of customer service.
- Ability to provide timely response and exceptional level of service to clients
- Maintain a positive, friendly and professional manner in all interactions with clients, team members, industry vendors, etc.
- Prepare proposals and event orders for all events and meetings with great attention to detail
- Understand overall revenue strategy, how to evaluate business opportunities
- Use creativity to close new business and maximize revenue
- Provide timely follow up and communication with clients throughout sales process
- Post/billing for events as needed
- Ability to negotiate contract terms and agreements
- Ability to network and form relationships within the event community
- Facilitate the process from consultation all the way through event execution
- Knowledge and learn operations portion of event planning and management
Qualifications and Education Requirements
One year experience in Sales and Catering and/or event planning
Proven capability and desire to provide an exceptional level of service to clients and team members
Ability to effectively negotiate terms and agreements
Able to work a flexible schedule based on business demands
Ability to stand for long periods of time
Ability to lift at least 40lbs
Must have clean driving record and reliable transportation
