Below is the pay range for this position that we reasonably expect to pay. Individual compensation is based on various factors including experience, education, skillset, and other relevant qualifications. This range is for the California location and may be adjusted to the labor market in other geographic areas.
Anticipated compensation range : $110,000-$190,000
The Opportunity :
Ohalo is looking for a high energy individual to build, expand, and manage best in class people programs, policies, and systems to support Ohalo and our growing workforce. You'll work directly with our Vice President of Operations and leadership team to establish innovative people programs and champion workplace culture. This is an exciting opportunity with many different paths for growth depending on skills and interest.
The ideal candidate is always up for a challenge, naturally operates with an owner's mindset, gets satisfaction from being service / customer-oriented, and is capable of maintaining professional maturity in any situation. Knowledge and experience in HR compliance and employment laws, program development, people operations systems, payroll administration, and previous experience working in a startup environment is a must.
Responsibilities :
- People Operations : Manage the entire employee lifecycle for Ohalo : onboarding, transfers, immigration, data requests, and offboarding to ensure a great employee experience.
- Employee Relations : Be the face of HR, manage day-to-day employee relations - issues, problems, concerns, and needs. Oversees employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
- HR Operations : Build and maintain employee data across HR systems including new hires, terminations, organization structure changes, job changes, and compensation changes
- Program Development : Develop and improve our people programs including leadership development and performance management (continuous performance improvement, performance issues, feedback).
- Policies & Procedures : Maintain and revise internal HR policies and procedures for contractors, exempt, and nonexempt employees to help Ohalo ensure compliance and mitigate risk.
- Recruiting Operations : Manages the talent acquisition process, including sourcing (managing job postings, external recruiters and staffing agencies), interviewing (working closely with hiring managers and interview committees to make recommendations), compensation coordination, and candidate offer and closing processes.
- Total Rewards : Analyze compensation and benefits; research and propose pay, equity, and benefits programs to ensure the organization attracts and retains top talent.
- Compliance : Monitor and ensure the organization's compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews and modifies policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Strategy : Partner with the leadership team to understand and execute the organization's people strategy.
