Job Summary

Meritec is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Production Scheduler to join our team. The Production Scheduler will be responsible for generating commitment dates while creating, organizing, and managing long and short-term schedules for application to the manufacturing shop floor to ensure timely delivery of products to our customers. Acts as main point of contact between production and customer service. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work in a fast-paced environment, and have experience in production planning and scheduling.

Position is full-time, on-site in our Painesville, Ohio facility, Monday-Friday, 8 am to 5 pm.

Duties and Responsibilities

Perform scheduling contract review to establish ship dates for incoming orders.
Ensure timely and accurate communication of commitment dates on all new orders to customer service representatives.
Act as main point of contact for customer service representatives on all previously scheduled orders.
Ensure timely and accurate communication of commitment date changes to designated production leadership.
Create future finished goods and subassembly schedules to ensure timely delivery of products to end customers.
Support quoting activity by acquiring component lead times and communicating lead time information to CSR’s.
Track labor allocations and requirements working directly with the Planning Manager and / or Master Planner to ensure labor is allocated to the correct products.
Coordinate directly with engineering, production management, and materials department on new product hand-offs to determine scheduling commitments on all new products.
Ensure timely and accurate communication of revenue targets to Production Manager.

Requirements and Qualifications

HS Diploma or Equivalent.

Minimum 2 years’ experience in a Production Planning or Production Scheduling role required.

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, Outlook etc.)

Macola experience preferred.

Mathematical aptitude (understanding, reasoning, and problem solving).

Excellent organizational, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

Ability to perform comfortably in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented work environment.

Excellent attention to detail; ability to work as a team member, as well as independently.

Flexible, adaptable team player with ability to lead, influence, resolve conflict, and build consensus.

Excellent analytical skills, ability to prioritize assignments and meet deadlines in a fast pace and growth-oriented environment

Ability to successfully execute many complex tasks simultaneously.

Ability to interact with all levels of management.

Motivated self-starter.

Knowledge of safety and quality standards.
